I started cooking professionally in my early twenties. I worked my way through restaurant kitchens, earned my Red Seal certification, and eventually landed in private dining. Cooking for clients in their homes, at events, on yachts.
The cooking part? I had that down. The business part? Nobody taught me. I undercharged for years. I took on the wrong clients. I had no system for finding new ones. I made every mistake you can make.
Over time, I figured it out. I built a pricing model that worked. I developed a client acquisition system. I learned how to say no to the wrong work and yes to the right work. My private dinner business grew. And it kept growing.
